Bernard “Buster” Sloot is an experienced professional and knowledgeable businessman who has supported the Karratha community since he founded NW Communications over 30 years ago.
Buster has lived in the town of Karratha since he was 5 years old, when his father worked for Hamersley Iron and his mother was a nurse at Dampier Hospital. Buster, who ironically gained his nickname from his mother for breaking all his toys, has always had a fascination with how things work, which led him to become a qualified auto-electrician for a number of years before finding his passion in technology and telecommunications, and starting NW Communications in 1992.
Busters’ hardworking nature and dedication, attributed to the resilience of his parents, is the reason NW Communications continues to deliver excellence today. His skilled team and returning customers can always rely on his expertise and experience to provide dependable solutions to their needs.
Buster met and married his wife, Helen, 39 years ago in Karratha, where they raised their three sons. They are now loving grandparents to six grandchildren and are lucky to still call Karratha home.
